On Christmas Day we picked up three roast venison with red cabbage, dumplings and cranberries. The handover went perfectly with almost no waiting time. The meat was tender, the Thuringian (or is the Coburger) dumplings and the sauce were a dream. The red cabbage is still slightly firm to the bite. You can taste the passion of the cook. The amount is easily enough for 4 people! The food was not "cheap" but very cheap. We'll be back ..
Super delicious and fresh food. The service is amazing, always friendly, always courteous! Especially the Sunday dishes stand out, as do all the dishes with chanterelles! 100% recommend!
After visiting Ehrenburg Castle on September 23, 2020, we wanted to have dinner at the Loreley. The restaurant didn't open until 5.30 p.m., but we were allowed to sit down 15 minutes earlier. We thought that was really great because we didn't have to endure on the street. The house itself is very attractive both inside and out and we found our stay to be very pleasant. The service was super friendly and brisk and there was nothing to complain about. The food tasted excellent and the price was also right. What more do you want?! Many thanks to the staff for the cozy evening!
Food very good, normal prices.
Cozy ambience. Very friendly, courteous service and delicious food. We were lucky with even live music.
Great food, great team, nice atmosphere
The best dumplings far and wide. Always a mandatory visit when we are at home.
Had a very tasty lunch in the shady outside area.
The stop on Saturday lunchtime is a fatal mistake. There was machine-cut Sauerbraten with maggi sauce and dumpling and dumpling with tasteless sauce and sandy chanterelles. We had to return the food. Only the dumplings and the beer were good. The food was served without a salad. The price-performance ratio is far from correct here. We won't be back.
Hello, today was the day trip to Coburg. Strolled through the city and have us then searched for a restaurant for lunch. We then found the Lorelei. Outside there were still free places, we were also placed in a friendly manner with a menu etc. The now well-known Corona note was immediately placed on the table. Had I chosen the Sauerbraten with homemade dumplings, well it felt so before as if the already two hours were in the water bath. On demand, the answer came that it typically Coburg dumplings are. My taste was not. Against 13.30Uhr (Saturday, 7.25., That summer) told the guests politely at the next table that they conclude the same and it was put down at the entrance to a stand that close to the same and to 17.30h reopen. So my opinion of the whole city hats not necessary even in times of Corona. 🙄.
Nice stylish ambience, friendly quick service, good rich food
Thanks to a chef!
Rustic furnished restaurant with lots of dark wood. When we made the reservation we were told that we had to be gone at a certain time. The food was good, but I could not understand what made the goose breast in the Loreley worth € 3 than in various nearby restaurants. To this day, I have never seen anyone in the dirndl on the Rhine (Loreley). The connection does not open up to me.
Good food!
I can recommend this place. The food is good and the prices are okay. A cozy atmosphere.
We stopped in the restaurant for dinner and were very well served here. A very nice restaurant with perfect service and excellent cuisine is worth a recommendation for everyone who wants to eat in Coburg. I can really recommend this restaurant.
Super
Great food, service very good.. take cash with you... card payment system is not the best
Cozy inn with Franconian cuisine. The menu is not too big. The food is good, but it lacks a little bit of whistle. Price performance are good. The service is friendly and attentive.
So if I may say so. Sau delicious. Super nice service and it went very fast until we had our food. Great to recommend. 🤤👍💖👌
Compared to other restaurants, I find the prices for the service about 20% too expensive. The food definitely tastes good but lacks the certain sophistication which I would expect at least in terms of the price level. Three stars go to the ambiance and the food. The service could not score with us unfortunately. However, I assume that this was unique and will therefore not describe the situation.
Delicious!
Good food, with ok prices. I liked it, but no fireworks.
The Loreley is recommended because of the upscale German cuisine. To be served and pampered in this historic building is a must for every Coburg visitor.
A little more expensive, but extremely good quality of the food. Tip: Sauerbraten with ingeniously good dumplings and salad ... just under 15 euros. Historic ambience. Reservation recommended. Toilet piccobello clean. The restaurant is located at the end of Herrengasse between Marktplatz and Ehrenburg Castle.
Super Traditionskneipe.
